Our trip to Portland was a ton of fun and laughs, especially the trip to
The "Ole" State Fair & Cannon Beach.

Our first night together we enjoyed good ole' state fair.

We took a ride through the country. We enjoyed cotton candy eating BBQ ribs, listening to Willie Nelson and watching Finley and Tuckers excitement with all of the farm animals.

We stopped at a little Farmers Market on the way to the beach and enjoyed some fresh fruit and beautiful flowers.

We got to Cannon Beach ready for all the exciting vistas of beauty (and yummy treats!) and were totally satisfied, even well pleased. The great day

High Life & the Black Sheep Gallery present: "Let him cast the first stone" by Rockford J. Orvin

This is a great show about Judgment & Forgiveness.

The theme arose from an emotional drowning experience in which Rockford felt harshly judged & critically examined. His overwhelming response of anger, hatred, resentment, and ironic judgmental rage caused an outward determination to understand his inner turmoil.

He looked into all his relationships to explore the intricate & delicate concepts of judgment. Like a two-armed pastry box folding to enclose bittersweet goodies, so were his perceptions of lifes experiences. From these initial feelings came a uniques lesson learned of letting go.- then, healing, love and empathy opened as he painted these figures in "light".

This mixed media of acrylic, texture, spray paint, and gold leaf on wood is painted in a style influenced by Gothic stained glass. Medieval glass iconography dictated firm religious statements with bold color, strong black outline, and canonized Christians that invoked remembrance and devotion from its viewer. With stained glass art being surrounded by dark cathedral concrete it becomes easier for the viewer to see the messages clearly through the intentional passing of sunlight.

National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasia

We belong to the NFED. This foundation serves the individuals affected by ED (Ectodermal Dysplasia, their families, and the research sceintist, doctors, dentist and genetisyst.

There are over 150 differnt types of ED. Amber is affected by EEC (Ectodermal Ectrodactyl Clefting Syndrome) There are approximately 4,000 know documented cases of ED, and Amber is one of approximately 125 people in the world affected by EEC.

Ectrodactyly-Ectodermal Dysplasia-Cleft Lip/Palate (EEC Syndrome) is a rare form of ectodermal dysplasia inherited as an autosomal nt genetic trait the symptoms of which can vary from mild to severe. The most common symptoms found in patients with EEC Syndrome are: missing or irregular fingers and/or toes (ectrodactyly), abnormalities of the hair and glands, cleft lip and/or palate, or unusual facial features, as well as abnormalities of the eyes and urinary tract.

Since this abnormality is so rare, most individuals feel they are the only ones affected by it, at least, until the find out about the NFED, and attend a conference. This conference has had a life changing effect on us all, for the good of course.

Amber, Rockford, Cindy and Russ just attended our first conference. They have been holding conferences for 28 years. Please take a moment and look at the pictures from the conference.
